Obituary

Jacqueline Venita Moore Spalding Harwick, 76, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her home in Hemet, California after a relatively short bout with cancer.
She was born November 21, 1936 in Bell, California, the daughter of James Cedrick and Venita Moss Smith Moore. She married Alfred Eugene Spalding October 24, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death November 10, 1983. She married Charles Arthur Harwick February 25, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She attended high school in Pico Rivera, California. She was a stay-at-home mother until she was widowed at which time she began working as an apartment salesperson and rapidly advanced to management positions until she retired in 1999.
She and her husband owned and operated a tavern (Docs) in Scales Mound, Il. Later they lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, then moved to Hemet where they have lived for nine years.
Jacqueline dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; she loved God; and was a loyal, loving wife. She was a great cook, loved dancing, and was a good LA Laker fan. she loved all her dogs and would fiercely protect them, and she was a dedicated and highly productive apartment manager.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Thomas (Irina) and Curtis (Lisa) Spalding of Redlands, California; two daughters, Lori Jean Martin of Crestline, California and Kimberly (Tanya) Spalding-Palomo of West Hollywood, California; and one stepson, Charles (Marcie) Harwick of Montfort, Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren, Jill Nunemaker of Georgia, Jason Spalding, Menefee, California, Daniel Spalding, Yucaipa, California, Whitney and Lauren Spalding, Redlands, California, Jamie, Stacey and Melissa Martin, Laguna Beach, California, and Holly (Clifford) Smith, Anaheim, California; three step-grandchildren, Chanel, Isabelle, and Charles Harwick, Montfort, Wisconsin; and five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Kayden, Madeline, Chloe, and Lyla; one brother, James "Bub" (Sharon) Moore, Bishop, California; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and her four sisters, Colleen Despersia, Virginia "Sis" Hansen, Barbara Maresch, and Jo Ann "Jodi" Thompson;
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 17, 2012 at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, Colton, California with burial following the funeral service.
