      Franz Stützle (I30902), son of Lorenz Stützle (I30897) and Theresia Löffler (I30896), was born on November 9, 1865 in Bondorf; Bad Saulgau, DEU and died on May 2, 1923 in Stuben; Altshausen, DEU at the age of 57 years.

Freida Stutzle - Oma's Mom

Frida (my grandmother) was born as the only child in Bempflingen. She moved with her parents in 1891 from Bempflingen to Stuben in Altshausen. Her parents had there acquired a Hofgut they farmed. She attended elementary school in Altshausen. Her first work place in Friedrichshafen was with the parish priest possibly as a domestic help. She later served seven years in a domestic position in Ulm, where she learned to cook. Grandmother was an excellent cook. She was also very economical which during the postwar years of the first war. However, World War II was not the wisest virtue. Of all your savings you could still buy with the inflation just a dress, the inflation had decimated the value of money. On 07/13/1921 she married the tailor Robert Anton Zürn. The wedding took place in Altshausen. The marriage sprang two children, Liselotte born on 12.09.1923, and Robert Erwin Richard born on 10/06/1926. In October 1931, the family was able to move to a new home. The consequences of the First World War, inflation, and the subsequent unemployment prepared hard times for the young couple. Gradually got better and the repayments on the house were not so threatening. Grandmother had much joy in her garden. The garden front of the house served as a flower garden while the garden behind the house was reserved for vegetables and berries. The flower garden was her great pleasure. In spring, the flowers were beautiful coloration. The garden offered such a pretty picture, that even walkers of the Royal House of Württemberg it is not allowed to take pause in front of the garden gate and admire the flowers. Gradually got better and my parents could afford a bit more of the good life. And then tragedy struck, on 28/12/1941 grandmother died of softening of the brain with the spinal cord paralysis. There were still no cure for this disease. She was buried on 31 December 1941 on the Altshausen cemetery exactly 1 year after your own mother.
